About Our Bundles
What makes your bundles different from buying individual products?
We take the guesswork, overwhelm, and endless searching out of preparing for a new baby. Our bundles are curated by experienced parents, focusing only on high-utility, no-gimmick essentials you'll actually use. It's thoughtful prep, not overwhelming clutter, designed to help you navigate the first few months.
What exactly comes in each bundle?
Each bundle is packed with the essentials we wish we had ready from day one — practical stuff that actually helps. For a full list of every item included in each product offering, please visit its specific product page.
Can I customize a bundle or swap items?
Our bundles are fixed — kind of like your newborn’s nap schedule (just go with it). To keep things simple, fast, and fairly priced, we don’t offer substitutions or swaps. But we packed each one with intention, like we were making it for our own family.
Are your bundles suitable for gifting?
Absolutely! We designed every bundle to be giftable. Our bundles are a "didn't know I needed this" kind of gift that actually gets used, providing instant relief and preparedness for expectant or new parents.
Are the items gender-neutral?
Yes, we aim to include products that are neutral in style and color, making our bundles useful for any baby without leaning toward a single style or identity. That said, personal preferences vary, and some colors may be seen differently depending on individual expectations. We do not offer gender-specific filters or options.
Where do you source your products from?
We legally source all products directly from authorized distributors. While we carefully curate and repackage these items into our bundles, the products themselves belong to their respective trademark holders. We respect these brands and their intellectual property, and we do not advertise their products as our own.
What are bonus items?
Some bundles may include free bonus items — useful extras we've chosen based on real parenting moments. These are included at no extra cost to you. Every bonus item is brand new and selected for practicality. Some may be from well-known brands, but we are not sponsored or endorsed by them; we simply include what works.
What if I already have some of the items in a bundle?
That’s totally possible — especially if this isn’t your first rodeo. But most of our bundles include backups you’ll be glad to have (think extra washcloths, extra spoons, extra sanity). And some items are surprisingly useful in more ways than you’d expect.
Are these bundles good for preemies?
Many of the items we include work well for babies of all sizes — and we've parented preemies ourselves, so we get it. While our bundles aren’t NICU-specific, we’ve prioritized gentle, practical items that won’t overwhelm tiny ones (or their parents).
Orders & Shipping
How much does shipping cost?
We believe in keeping things as simple as possible. The shipping and weight charges for your order have already been integrated into the total price you see. You will not see a separate line item for shipping costs at checkout. This ensures a straightforward purchase experience without any surprises.
How quickly will my order ship?
Orders typically ship within 1 to 3 business days (Monday through Friday), not including weekends or national holidays. For example, if you place an order on a Saturday afternoon, the processing time will begin on the following Monday, which is the next business day. As a small business, order volume may occasionally affect exact processing times, but we work diligently to get your package out as soon as possible. Our operations are based in Texas, following Central Standard Time (CST).
How long will it take for my order to arrive after it ships?
Delivery time depends on your destination. We use any carrier that provides the fastest service at a reasonable price, and you will receive a tracking number once your order is on its way. Due to various factors, exact delivery times can vary.
Can I upgrade to faster shipping?
We are working on adding faster shipping options in the future. If your order is time-sensitive, please email us at support@ourfirstsolidstep.com before placing your order. While we cannot guarantee 2-day shipping or other expedited services, we will do our absolute best to assist you and you get your bundle out the door as quickly as possible.
Can I cancel or change my order?
AnswerOrders are processed quickly during business hours. If you need to cancel or change anything (including the shipping address), you must contact us within 1 hour of placing your order, during our operating hours of Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST). Requests received outside these hours will be addressed at the start of the next business day. After that, we can’t promise changes, especially if it's already packed and labeled.
My shipping address was wrong — now what?
If your order hasn’t shipped yet, please contact us immediately at support@ourfirstsolidstep.com, and we’ll do our best to fix it. However, once a package is out the door, it’s out of our hands. We are not responsible for packages sent to the wrong address if the information provided at checkout was incorrect. Please double-check your shipping address carefully before submitting your order.
What if my package gets lost or stolen?
Once your order is marked as “delivered” by the carrier, it’s considered fulfilled. We get it — sometimes packages go missing or the recipient isn’t available — but we can’t intercept, cancel, or reroute anything once it leaves our hands. If your tracking says it was delivered but you haven’t received it, we recommend contacting the carrier first. Still stuck? Reach out to us at support@ourfirstsolidstep.com, and we’ll see what we can do. But please know: replacements or refunds aren’t guaranteed for delivery issues outside our control.
Can I reroute, cancel, or hold my package after it ships?
Sadly, no. Once your order ships, we’re unable to make changes — including rerouting, cancelling, or holding it. We strongly encourage making sure someone will be available to receive it. If a gift recipient isn’t home or an address error occurs, the package may be delayed or lost — and we’re unable to issue refunds or replacements for that.
Do you ship internationally or to military (APO/FPO) addresses, Alaska, or Hawaii?
Currently, we only ship within the continental United States. We are actively working on logistics to eventually offer shipping to APO and FPO military addresses, as well as Alaska and Hawaii, aiming to provide reasonable prices without compromising our principles or passing on excessive charges to our customers.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
Because our bundles include baby products, we’re only able to offer a replacement if something inside the package is actually damaged — not just the outside of the box. If that happens, please email us a photo at support@ourfirstsolidstep.com so we can help. If the products inside are fine, we’re unable to offer store credit, replacements, or refunds at this time.
What if an item in my bundle is damaged?
We meticulously inspect every item. If the contents inside your bundle box are damaged during transit, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with pictures clearly showing the damage and indicating no foul play was involved. We will arrange a replacement or resolution. Unfortunately, we cannot offer store credit, replacement, or returns for cosmetic damage to the outside of the box if the products inside are unharmed.
Are surprise items or freebies returnable?
Any surprise or free items included in your bundle are provided as a token of our gratitude for shopping with us. These items are not returnable for store credit or exchange.
Product Specifics
What are your bundle add-ons?
(Coming Soon!) Our add-ons are special, complementary items designed to enhance your chosen bundle even further with thoughtful extras. In the near future, when you add a qualifying bundle to your cart, you will see the option to add its exclusive complementary items on the cart page. Please note: Add-ons are not yet available for purchase.
Can I send a gift note with the bundle?
Not yet — but we're working on it! In the meantime, feel free to send them a text that says “I got you something awesome. It’s on the way.” (That always works.)
Do you offer gift cards?
Not yet — but it’s on our roadmap. If you’re shopping last minute or don’t want to guess what someone needs, hold tight. We’ll announce it soon.
